Production process

Ethyleneamines are manufactured in a continuous process by allowing an excess of Ammonia (NH3) to react under high pressure with Ethylenedichloride (EDC). After the pressure in the reactor has been reduced, Caustic Soda (NaOH) is added and the resulting salt is separated in a crystalliser. The end-products are subsequently isolated from the reaction mixture by destillation.
